About Prime Health Journal
Prime Health Journal is an independent consumer-health publication. We write plain-English explainers for adults 50 and over — the kind of clear, unhurried answers people wish they'd been given at the appointment. We focus on everyday wellbeing topics like nerve and foot comfort, and we try to sound like a knowledgeable friend, not a textbook or a sales pitch.
What we do — and don't — claim
We publish education, not treatment. You will not find promises of cures here, because that isn't honest and isn't how the body works. When we describe what helps, we frame it as comfort and support, and we point you toward your own healthcare professional for anything that concerns you. When research exists, we name it so you can look it up or bring it to your doctor.
How our review process works
Every health article is drafted by our editorial team and checked by our medical review panel before publishing. Review means confirming that claims are consistent with mainstream, current understanding; that we haven't overstated anything; that safety cautions are present where they belong; and that the language stays clear. Articles carry a "last reviewed" date so you know how current they are, and we revisit them as understanding evolves.
Where our information comes from
We lean on recognized public-health bodies and peer-reviewed research. When we cite a specific study, we include enough detail — authors, journal, year, and where possible a PubMed identifier — for you to find the original. We avoid cherry-picking dramatic single studies, and we try to be honest about the limits of the evidence, including when something was only studied short-term or in a specific group.
Independence and how we're funded
Prime Health Journal may feature or link to products, presentations, and resources that are relevant to our readers, and some of these relationships may support our work. This never changes what our review panel will and won't approve, and it never turns education into a promise. Sponsored or promotional material is presented as what it is.
